FACIAL MESOTHERAPY
What is facial mesotherapy?
Facial mesotherapy is one of the most popular treatments in the modern aesthetic medicine. It is one of the top anti-aging treatments because is a relatively simple process compared to its great effectiveness. More specifically, during facial mesotherapy, multiple painless microinjections are performed with extra-fine needles in the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin), injecting tiny amounts of skin-nourishing solutions.
What is the effect of mesotherapy on our skin?
As we mentioned above, mesotherapy is applied to the mesoderm. Mesoderm or dermis is the intermediate tissue that connects the skin with the rest of the tissues. Special structural proteins such as collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid are produced in that skin layer.
As we age, the production of proteins decreases and the skin gradually loses its firmness and volume. For its reconstruction, the skin needs vitamins and substances that restore elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This is exactly what mesotherapy achieves by transferring nutrient-rich preparations to the area of the skin that needs it most.
Facial mesotherapy is the ideal solution for:
- Instant wrinkles smoothing
- Skin tightening
- Deep hydration
- Microcirculation improvement
Which substances are contained in the solutions that are applied in facial mesotherapy?
In facial mesotherapy, we use substances with strong anti-aging action. The solutions (“cocktails”) contain some vitamin complexes. The most important nutrients are Vitamins C, E, A, D and Vitamin B Complex. Each of them has an important role in the facial antiaging. The main characteristics that stand out are the antioxidant action, the microcirculation enhancement, the calcium synthesis and the collagen production.
In addition to vitamins, the “cocktails” may also contain some other nutrients such as amino acids, minerals and trace elements that are necessary for the production of collagen and elastin. Sometimes, the mesotherapy solution contains elements such as coenzyme Q10 – that is known for its anti-aging action.
Finally, facial mesotherapy aims to tighten and hydrate the skin from the inside with the use of Hyaluronic acid.
What is the process of facial mesotherapy and where can it be applied?
The facial mesotherapy procedure is simple. A very small amount of the mesotherapy solution (“cocktail”) is injected into the mesoderm (0.3-0.5 cm from the skin’s surface) with very thin, specially designed needles.
Facial mesotherapy is a treatment that is indicated for the skin rejuvenation. This means that the antioxidant action of the ingredients can be successfully applied to the neck, décolleté as well as on the hands.
