It is a non-invasive procedure for the treatment of persistent localized fat and cellulite as long as it is combined with the special injectable solutions that contribute to the improvement and disappearance of the unwanted “orange peel”. (Cellulform)
The treatment is performed at the doctor’s practice. At first, an anesthetic cream is applied on the treated area where there is accumulation of subcutaneous fatty tissues. Then, small injections with very fine needles are applied in the affected and problematic area in specific doses. So, substances such as phosphatidylcholine (that it comes from soy lecithin and has a very strong fat-dissolving effect), caffeine, amino acids, antioxidant agents and vitamins are injected in the treated area contributing and enhancing the lipolysis process. Phosphatidylcholine can be effective as a monotherapy as well as in combination with deoxycholic acid, carnitine, organic silicon and DMAE. Essentially, by injecting these substances we target the fat cell receptors. There are two fat cell receptors, the A-2 and B-2. A-2 receptors tell the cells to store fat for later use. B-2 receptors tell cells to break down and release fat for immediate use. The receptors whose stimulation contributes to lipolysis are the B-2 receptors as opposed to the A-2 receptors that contribute to the lipogenesis process. Therefore, through the receptors stimulation is achieved the destruction of the cellular walls of the fat cells which are then eliminated through the metabolic pathways.
So, after the examination, the recognition and the assessment of the importance of the patient’s problem, (every case is individualized) is completed by the specialist doctor then he/she will decide the method of treatment that the patient has to follow. This treatment is essentially aimed to enhance the functioning of the B-2 receptors and inhibit the functioning of the A-2 receptors (Lipolysis vs Lipogenesis). So, lipolysis begins in the problematic area after the injection of the special solutions which in combination with special anti-cellulite solutions (Celluform) optimize the final result. With this procedure, we have reduction of points, skin’s texture improvement and cellulite smoothing of the treated area as well as skin tightening due to new collagen’s production.
It is a quick, simple, side-effect-free procedure, which is performed at the doctor’s practice with the application of a topical anesthetic cream only. For the desired, aesthetic results of Lipolysis Mesotherapy about 6 treatments (sessions) are required, at intervals of 20-30 days.
